Shouldn't that have been enough?
Apparently not.
For a lot of reasons, I resigned my tenure-track job and now I'm looking for something else to do. There's some time pressure ... I don't have long before I stop getting paid, and perhaps more important, lose my health insurance coverage. (Yikes)
I've spent years heading down a pretty narrow path to the academy; now, I'm not really sure where I'm going to end up.
It's exciting and I'm optimistic. Most of the time. Some of the time, I'm really, really *not* optimistic; sometimes I'm just desperate and panicky.
So, the blog is to chronicle the desperate and panicky and the hopeful and exciting adventures of a Ph.D. in the world (blog title!).
